What we offer:

Regularly Scheduled Services:

  • Chaplain Visits and Appointments

Visits are by appointment and/or by blocking convenient times when residents, staff, and management would be available. The Chaplain provides care for the pastoral and spiritual needs of residents, families and staff if desired. The Chaplain will pray with the residents, families and staff as appropriate and will meet with new residents to determine and record their spiritual needs. The focus of these visits are relationship building, spiritual assessments, establishing end of life directives, and spiritual counsel.

  • Chaplain Led/Arranged Worship Services

The Chaplain will develop the overall religious/pastoral program. General Christian worship services will be held or arranged by the Chaplain. These services would be traditional in nature and would last 30-40 minutes. They would be sensitive to all Christian faiths with Communion being optional for the participants.

With sensitivity to the multiple ethnic and religious faith expressions, the Chaplain may also arrange for other faith services as well as special religious/holiday services involving drama events, and choir concerts.

  • Bible Studies or Special Classes

The Chaplain will coordinate an ongoing program of adult religious education. He will lead and/or help organize regular Bible/faith studies for the residents who wish to participate. He will also be available to teach special classes such as; "Letting Go", "Death and Dying", "Grief Recovery", etc.

On Call Or Per-Arranged Services

  • Funeral Services/Death Notifications

The Chaplain will be available for death notifications and would be available to contact the family of the deceased and their pastor to make funeral and burial arrangements. If the family does not have a pastor, the Chaplain will be available to officiate at the funeral service, being sensitive to the background and needs of the family.

  • Family Consultations/Staff Meetings

The Chaplain will attend family consultations or staff meetings when requested.

  • Open Houses/Special Community Outreach Events

The Chaplain will attend special events as requested.
